What is in Salt Water Taffy?
It is a blend of corn syrup, sugar, water, coconut oil, and letchin cooked precisely to about 245 degrees. The flavor and coloring are added after cooking the taffy to the specific heat required. Some of our flavors will use butter instead of cocnut oil. For example, butter rum, is definately better with real butter. Taffy can get soft in extreme heat and harden in the cool weather. All you have to do is hold it in your hand, or set it on your lap to soften the taffy up again.
